Growing up in Los Angeles, Simona Maghen always had a passion for creativity. Whether sketching, creating with her hands, or expressing herself through fashion, she knew from an early age that design was her calling. In fifth grade, she drew the label and named the company for her future clothing line. At just ten years old, her path was already clear, and she has often said, "Fashion chose me, I didn't choose fashion."
Simona's love of fashion was inspired by her mother's impeccable style and feminine elegance. Her mother's influence not only shaped Simona's appreciation for beautiful clothing but also inspired her dream of becoming a fashion designer.
After earning her Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design from California State University, Northridge, Simona began her career designing for women's contemporary brands throughout the Los Angeles garment district. Her designs eventually found their way into leading retailers including Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy's, and Dillard's.
In 2017, Simona fulfilled her lifelong dream of launching her eponymous label, SIMONA MAGHEN, a full circle moment that brought the vision she created as a child to life. Today, she designs from her Los Angeles studio, creating collections that are carried by boutiques across the United States and internationally.
Purple, the brand's signature color, is a heartfelt tribute to Simona's late mother. Every garment features a purple satin ribbon on its hangtag in her honor, a meaningful detail that keeps her mother's spirit woven into the brand's story.
At SIMONA MAGHEN, every dress is thoughtfully designed to inspire confidence, grace, and effortless sophistication.
